FAQs from the Anansi Boys Tour – Toronto Star

From the October 1st Toronto Star:

Neil Gaiman tells us the most frequently asked questions, and his answers, from his current book tour:

Q: So what are you working on right now?

A: Just the tour, but when I find the time I also have to write the introduction to the collected edition of Will Eisner’s The Spirit. There’s also a lot of MirrorMask stuff. And next week, I’ve got to go and watch Beowulf being filmed.

Q: Will MirrorMask go wide (distribution)?

A: I don’t know.

Q: Is there ever going to be a Good Omens movie?

A: I don’t know. Terry Gilliam is trying to resurrect it right now….”

There are a lot of movie questions. People are very excited that Coraline is being filmed by Henry Sellick, and that They Might Be Giants are doing the songs…

“They also want to know if I’m going to be doing any more Sandman. And the answer is that I don’t know, but … I wouldn’t be surprised.”

Q: Will there be a Sandman movie?

A: I don’t know.

Q: Will there be a Death movie?

A: It’s being budgeted and they may be shooting it next year.

Q: Are you doing another children’s novel?

A: Yes, it’s called The Graveyard Book and I’ve just started it.

“And what else?

Oh, there’s always, `Can I have a hug?’ “
