Upcoming Releases
Once again Lance “Squiddie” Smith has posted upcoming Gaiman works (from Previews — order these through your local comic shop. If you don’t have one, one of my clients, Mission Games, can order them for you and mail them out.) to alt.fan.neil-gaiman:
First, “Vertigo: Winter’s Edge”, a Vertigo sampler, will feature a brand-new Desire story. No indication of who is doing the art or how long it will be. Shipping date is the week of November 12th.
Don’t forget that this is also the week that Dust Covers ships and the Dave McKean Sandman poster ship. A lot of stuff for one week. Start saving now.
The final issue of the Destiny mini also comes out on the 12th. This time the art is by Rebecca Guay and Kent Williams. There is also a Destiny T-shirt being offered with a design by Williams.
Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess’s Stardust #2 ships on the week of November 26th. Shipping the same week is a poster of the fairy market from Stardust. This art was featured in last months Previews (page 80-81) and should make for a great poster.
DC will also be collecting the first 8 issues of The Dreaming into a TPB. That’s also out on the 26th.
For the completists, Gaiman will be writing the introduction to Teri Sue Wood’s The Cartoonist collection, coming from Sirius some time in November.
